Life Is Something Spatial is an experiment in studio performance interaction with the Dolby Atmos™ configuration by Annie Garlid, Andrew Fox and Bryce Hackford. The tracks were recorded using custom controls in the spatial movement of sounds in performance; then edited in the Atmos configuration.
Annie Garlid is UCC Harlo, solo electronic music artist, accomplished baroque musician, Holly Herndon collaborator; Andrew Fox is an artist under the name Visuals with an extensive catalog, producer, and head of Astral Sound recording studio, where these recordings were made; Bryce Hackford is an artist, producer and DJ currently interested in the non-metaphorical use of sound in composition and installation.
The trio is intuitively aligned.
